😱👵 My little daughter found this strange object among her grandmother’s old belongings. When she asked what it was, Grandma smiled and said, “Oh, sweetheart, back in our day, everyone knew what this was used for.” Do you remember it? ❤️🤔

Interesting

Last Sunday, we were cleaning out the attic of my grandmother’s old house. There was a wooden chest up there that had been sitting untouched for years.

My 9-year-old son, Aram, opened the chest out of curiosity.

Inside were old photographs, yellowed letters, a few buttons, a handkerchief from Grandma’s younger days, and these strange brown objects.

“Mom, what is this? Is it a toy, or is it something people used to make things with?”

I picked one up, examined it carefully, but couldn’t figure out what it was.

Just then, my 83-year-old grandmother walked into the room.

When she saw what Aram was holding, she stopped for a moment and then burst out laughing.

“Oh my goodness, sweetheart! Look what you’ve found! I thought these had been lost years ago!”

“Grandma, what was this used for?”

Grandma sat down in her old chair, took the object in her hands, and smiled.

“Oh, my dear children, back in our day, things like this were perfectly ordinary. Everything has changed now. You can find almost anything on your phones, but I wonder if you can guess what this was used for!”

Then she began telling us stories about her youth, the old family home, and the days when people owned far fewer things but treasured even the smallest possessions for years.

I noticed tears beginning to fill her eyes.

“Grandma, why are you crying?”

“I’m not crying, sweetheart. It’s just that whenever I see these old things, I feel young again. For a moment, it’s as if our old house is once again filled with the people I loved.”

That day, we sat beside Grandma for a long time, listening to her memories and stories.

And we decided not to throw this mysterious object away.

We wanted to keep it as a reminder of a time that our children will never get to experience. ❤️

🥰 Dear friends, did you recognize this object?
